With the German Language Diploma (DSD) to Germany

Did you acquire the German Language Diploma (DSD) at your school abroad? If your course is in German, language skills are one of the most important then you have good prerequisites to start studying in Germany.

If your course is in German, language skills are one of the most important requirements: With the German Language Diploma II, you prove that you have the German language skills required for a degree. Only certain certificates are accepted as evidence of this. The DSD II is accepted by all German universities. You can find out which requirements still apply to studying in Germany in the “Studies & Training” section.

The lower level of the diploma, the German Language Diploma I, also gives you easier access to the German higher education system: Although the diploma is not enough to apply directly to a university, it is the linguistic proof for attending a preparatory college. After successfully completing the preparatory college, you can then apply to universities across the country.

Information on scholarships can be found here in the portal under “Funding opportunities for studying in Germany”.
